If you’re looking for a new shoe to ball with, you came to the right place. This Adidas Crazy Explosive Primeknit review will show you why this is one of the best basketball shoes available.
By the end of it I’m sure you’ll be just as enthusiastic about them as I am.
What Makes A Great Basketball Shoe?
I’ve been balling for a long, long time (the majority of my life) and it’s easily my favorite sport to watch and play. I’ve worn every brand of basketball shoes imaginable; Nike, Adidas, Reebok, And 1 and more.
20 plus years of experience with basketball shoes has taught me a few things about what to look for when selecting which to wear. Here are my top 3 things to look for:
- Good ankle support
- Lightweight
- Name brand
One of the most expensive basketball shoes I ever bought was a pair of really nice Jordan’s. Well, nice because they looked good, they were terrible for basketball. I probably rolled my ankle a dozen times in them and eventually had to toss them in the garbage because of it.
From that point on I never spent a dollar on a shoe unless I was positive they would protect my ankles. It’s payed off because it hasn’t happened since.
Next, you want to make sure your sneakers aren’t too heavy or clunky. Basketball is a game of speed and first steps; you don’t want to be slowed down by bulky shoes. I’ve found lightweight shoes to be the best for speed.
Lastly, you want a name brand and there’s many reasons for this. First off, you know you are going to get a durable and lasting shoes if you purchase from one of the sport equipment giants (most actually come with a couple year warranty).
Also, companies like Adidas pour millions into design and put the newest and most innovative technologies into their shoes.
You’ll be happy to know the Crazy Explosives meet all these criteria. They offer superior ankle protection, are lightweight and come from well known basketball shoe maker, Adidas.
A Shoe Made For A Rising Star
Do you think Adidas would make a low quality shoe for a young star like Andrew Wiggins? The answer is no. NBA players, and sports stars in general, are the most particular people on earth. They spend so much time making sure everything is perfect; they wouldn’t risk injuring themselves with a terrible shoe.
Here’s a list of other NBA stars besides Andrew Wiggins that are going to wear the Crazy Explosives this upcoming season:
- Harrison Barnes
- Iman Shumpert
- Serge Ibaka
- Marcus Smart
- Justise Winslow
If all these stars are planning to wear the Crazy Explosives you know they are top of the line. Here are a few awesome features about the shoe:
- Primeknit and Geofit engineered upper construction for maximum lightweight stability and support
- Exceptional midfoot stability
- Extra floor grip
- Extra comfortable
This shoes is the real deal.
My Favorite Place To Buy
I don’t really mess around when I’m buying basketball shoes. You can purchase from an unknown retailer online but you run the risk of getting counterfeits. There are plenty of good places to get these shoes and my favorite is Amazon.
They offer every size imaginable and you know 100% you are going to get the actual product your ordered. Plus, there’s free shipping on all orders over $50. And if you have a problem, they have great customer support and will fix whatever issue you have.

One more thing: You ready to ball in these shoes?
Hi I play basketball a lot and tend to roll my ankles. Just recently I bought a pair of low tops and rolled my ankle on my first game. Do the Crazy explosive´s give great ankle support? or atleast better than any other low top shoes?
Hey Hugu! I had the same problem when I was younger. The Crazy Explosive’s give very good support. My favorites are the Hyperdunks; they have the best ankle support. I wrote a post about my top picks for ankle support (you can read more about the Hyperdunks there). You can read that article here: http://sportingsafe.com/best-basketball-shoes-for-ankle-support-2016
